This is truly an open and interoperable technology. open home foundation We exist for champions. Threads work on the identical precept. In different phrases, it is an energy-efficient wi-fi mesh community that enables gadgets to attach instantly to one another and mechanically reroute with out interruption. And for battery-powered alarms like Sensereo, Thread’s low-power design means fewer battery adjustments for gadgets which might be at all times on.
Whereas we’re speaking about security, if the Thread community drops out for any purpose, Sensereo’s smoke and carbon monoxide alarms will proceed to operate identical to “common” alarms, so you do not want a sensible house.
This peace of thoughts is on the coronary heart of how Sensereo thinks about its merchandise, and talking to the crew at CES 2026 earlier this 12 months, we will say that is just the start. Developments resembling air high quality sensors are on the horizon, constructing towards the identical imaginative and prescient of making environmental intelligence programs for the house that assist customers perceive and reply to their environment.
“Becoming a member of the Residence Assistant ecosystem is a pure step for us because it permits an open, user-driven platform that may actually combine these capabilities. We’re excited to contribute not solely to our present fireplace safety merchandise, but in addition to future sensing gadgets that broaden the way in which folks work together with and handle their dwelling areas.”

Sensereo MSC-1 Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector
The MSC-1 goes one step further with a nifty built-in digital display that shows real-time carbon monoxide levels. Since CO is odorless and invisible, it can be accurately confirmed at a glance, allowing you to determine if there is an increase in CO and take appropriate action. in front This is an emergency situation, not immediately after the alarm goes off.
